IMPORTANT LEGAL NOTICE & PROFESSIONAL DISCLAIMER: TaxBasis AI is an artificial intelligence research tool designed to assist tax professionals and business owners. It provides automated calculations and text synthesis based on tax statutes. TAXBASIS AI DOES NOT PROVIDE LEGAL, ACCOUNTING, FINANCIAL, OR OFFICIAL TAX ADVICE. The platform operates as a judgment support tool; you are solely responsible for reviewing all outputs with a licensed CPA, tax attorney, or qualified advisor before making any financial or tax filing decisions.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By creating an account, accessing, or using the TaxBasis AI platform (available at https://www.taxbasis.ai) or related services (collectively, the “Services”) provided by TaxBasis AI (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions of Service (“Terms”).

2. ELIGIBILITY & REGISTRATION

You must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction to use the Services. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.

3. USE OF THE SERVICES & LICENSE

TaxBasis AI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Services for your internal business or personal tax research purposes.

4. CONFIDENTIALITY & DATA PROTECTION

TaxBasis AI handles your uploaded documents and chat histories with strict confidentiality in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & CONTENT

Your Input: You retain all ownership rights to Input you upload.

Generated Output: TaxBasis AI assigns all right, title, and interest in Output to you.

6. FEES & SUBSCRIPTIONS

Billing is auto-renewed monthly. All fees are non-refundable unless required by law.

7. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless TaxBasis AI from claims arising out of your use of the Services or reliance on Outputs.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

EXCLUSION OF DAMAGES: TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAXBASIS AI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

9. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
